The three muskateers of Above & Beyond have returned with their D'artagnan Zoe Johnston for new single 'Quicksand (Don't Go)', the first release for their forthcoming new album. A pulsating beat and whispy atmospherics get us underway before Johnston's uniquely pure and delicate vocal joins in with lyrics that make you think and feel all at the same time - "can't change the way the wind blows, can't change the way my heart feels, don't go". The drop and melody at around 1.39 is as uplifting as it is heartrending, mixing modern EDM with the orchestral influence of pioneers like Jean-Michel Jarre - this all bodes extremely well for the new album.
