As we approach the national day of love on 14th February, it is only right and proper that I am inundated with love songs so I have picked a few of the best to share with you, starting with this new single from Liverpool's See Emily Play. 'Do You Love Me' has an instant charm that straddles the Janis Joplin-esque rock of the late 70s, the radio appeal of Sheryl Crow and the British charm of Sophie Ellis-Bextor in her first incarnation as the singer of theaudience. The grunting guitar and swinging rhythm is super cool and I can already picture a video of our heroine Emily dancing down Carnaby Street in bright colours as suitors dance out of doorways to tempt her with flowers.
