The evolution of Calva Louise is truly something wondrous to behold and their new single, 'W.T.F.', feels like them emerging from a cocoon to let us marvel in their awesome new form. Aside from the brilliantly dark and theatrical video, this track blends influences from the likes of Muse, System of a Down, the Joy Formidable and the side hustle band set up by Wanda Maximoff between filming. Intense choruses are paired with darkly magical verses to create a glorious juxtaposition that is enthralling and scintillating with a little bit of danger - like noticing that the girl in your local library has a tattoo of your favourite death metal band poking out beyond the cuff off her cardigan. Oh, and extra points for getting a cat in the video too.
