I have to admit, I thought we'd lost Young Knives, consigned to the slag heap of vastly underrated UK bands. Never fear, however, for the enigmatic duo are back with a new album, a UK tour and, for now, a tasty new single in the shape of 'Dissolution'. I toyed with the idea of copy and pasting all the lyrics in this review because they simply excellent but you'll have to listen yourself to hear lines like "I must object to the current received wisdom and the modern social system championing the individual bodies and minds existence in time, both are just projections of an ego in rejection". Musically, this is the itchy, scratchy and uncomfortable but still deliciously melodic fare that we've come to expect, nay, demand from Young Knives and that, ladies and gentlemen, is delightful.
