Building up to a new album and a big ol' European tour in 2025, the ever-impressive duo Larkin Poe are back with their superb new single, 'Mockingbird'. Snarling, distorted blues guitar riffs and a stomping beat introduce the song before we get that country tinged vocal that drifts so sweetly across the prairies. When the chorus kicks in (and it kicks hard), that combination of the buzz saw guitars and treacle smooth vocals sends chills (literal chills) up your spine and the hairs on the back of your neck are well and truly standing to attention. This all bodes very well for 2025.
