If you Google Adios MF, you'll find a bunch of information about a cocktail that is guaranteed to you get you not only off your own tits, but probably on to someone else's. However, scratch below the surface and what you'll find is one of the most exciting bands to come out of Sheffield in years. Adios MF take influences from city-mates the Human League as well as Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode on new single 'They' to make a darkly delicious sound. Squelchy, bassy synths and pulsating beats lead you down a dark alley to a neon-lit club before the searing guitars and moody vocals add an 80s vibe that makes me want to watch John Hughes films. Throw in some flavours from the Cure, the Alarm and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club being remixed by Goldfrapp and you're edging closer to how special this is. More please and make mine a double.
