Sunna Margret's PR headline describes her as an 'Icelandic oddball' which seems to be the main export from the island nation but I'll overlook that for a song like 'Figure'. This new release, coming in advance of a debut album, stutters in over the airwaves sounding like something between a fever dream, bad trip and distorted messages from an alternate reality. Scattered notes, sporadic beats and whispered vocals all combine to create something utterly unique and, well, defiantly odd. Iceland, eh? Whatever next?
