Dutch five-piece the Klittens are hitting the UK this week and they're bringing their ace new single 'Reading Material' with them. The track opens with a sound reminiscent of the Waitresses or early Bangles material with a nod to the Long Blondes in the deadpan vocal delivery. Lo-fi guitars and keys carry the melody while the chatty vocals and restless drums keep us on our toes. The video and general slacker vibes take me to an imaginary past in downtown 90s LA and, for that reason alone, I'm all in on the Klittens.
