Cornish collective Mothman, The Man are gearing up for an epic 2024 and have dropped superb new single 'Gigantopithecus' as a warning shot to make sure we're all paying attention. For a song named after the largest ape that ever lived, this track has a suitably enormous frame to it with a chugging wall of guitars and splashing drums given a sense of direction by the gothically tinged vocals. There's a semi-religious vibe to this as well, like a bunch of Monks dicking around in the vestry at night and coming up with an unholy sound that brings the wrong kind of worshippers to their door. This is just an entree, an amuse bouche if you will, ahead of the main course in 2024 so keep your eyes and ears open.
