Frances Willow - Anna Banana

London based but Devon raised Bex goes by the stage name Frances Willow - keeping up? - but none of that really matters as long as you listen to her new single 'Anna Banana'. The soft and somber opening bars instantly calm the air before the intimate vocals join in with a lullaby tone but a sense of regret in the doe eyed lyrical delivery. Delicate, rippling guitar notes join in and there are elements of Zero 7 and Lemon Jelly in the melodies with hints of Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Seaker and Zoe Johnston in the vocals. It's a sublime blend and one hell of an introduction to an artist who I, for one, will be keeping an eye on.
