Having Weird Al Yankovic among your fans is one of those things that wouldn't have been a big selling point a few years ago but now adds a certain left-field cache to an artist. Jordan Duffy can claim that Mr Yankovic is a supporter and that she has a four octave vocal range so why wouldn't you want to take a listen? Duffy's new single 'Wonder Woman' has a indie-country swagger to it but with that impressive vocal stretching out over the top of the jangling guitars and thumping drums. There's a forlorn undertone to this one but, ultimately, the message is one of taking back control and rising, Phoenix-like, from the ashes of everything that's gone before.
