You know that feeling when you find out that mate who you haven't seen for ages is coming out for the night? Well that's how it feels when a new Beach Riot track lands in my inbox so excuse me if I did a little dance when 'Tramlines' arrived. The dancing continued when I heard this latest release from the Brighton outfit because it is an absolute stormer of track based around a rusty buzz saw riff backed by concrete slabs of drums a bass line that is, frankly, up to no good. The pre-chorus has a moodier and softer tone but that is soon blown far, far out of the water when the chorus kicks back in and the juggernaut rolls on. There are live dates to be confirmed and more music but this should keep you well fed until that turns up.
