Brit rapper Junior is one of those artists that always manages to bring something fresh and new to the table so there's a ripple of excitement when one of his tunes drops in to my inbox. The Bedford based artist is offering up 'Connection' as his latest release and it is an instantly engaging and arresting listen. The looped sound of tribal vocal rhythms is overlaid by Junior's uniquely recognisable flow and underpinned by a steady but understated beat. There are a whole host of influences in here from the smooth flow of Pharrell Williams to the radio friendly sound of Ed Sheeran but this is masterfully crafted stuff and is, without doubt, Junior's best track....so far.
