2023 is certainly the year of the collaboration so fare but this is the first three-way that I've stumbled across thus far. LA's Militarie Gun released 'Pressure Cooker' as a collaboration with Richmond's Dazy but now they've brought Mannequin Pussy in from Philly for the remix and it's a powerful trio. There are 90s inspired beats that remind me of Beck and Brassy, slacker riffs straight from the Dandy Warhols war chest and a passive-aggressive vocal performance that makes me want to listen to Eels again. Add in some searing guitars and an unrelenting energy, stir vigorously and bring to the boil. A great tune to lift you out of your funk for sure.
