Roaring out of Long Island comes indie rock quartet 10 Minute Major and their self-titled punchy three track EP. Kicking off with 'Separate Ways', the band lull you in to a moody and almost shoe gazing false sense of security before the drums kick in and we're sent spiraling off through the indie disco with a late 80s sense of freedom fused with early 90s punk urgency. 'Shadows Fall' has a more epic vibe as a buzzing bass line and stadium straddling guitars are matched by a pounding bass line to blend the sheer power of the Killers with the theatricality of Queen. The third and final track, 'Our Answer', has a darker feel with twin tracked guitars harking back to 80s metal bands but the low slung bass and snarling vocals adding a sharper, more menacing edge. Punk, indie, pomp, metal, 80s, 90s and a whole lot of power - not bad for three tracks, eh?
