Norwich collective Waxx aren't messing around on new single 'Vampires' (released on Halloween, I'm just late to the party) as they hit the ground running with a funky but loose beat. The sound, vibe and production is fully drenched in a 70s aesthetic but that doesn't detract from the fact that this is an absolute stonker of a tune that you can properly wig out to. The vocals are layered up like Scooby Doo sandwich and the guitars are fuzzier than Shaggy's hair so why don't you fire up the Mystery Machine, slap this one in the 8-track and lets go for a ride, yeah? Yeah.
