Standing at nearly seven minutes long, the new single from Ukrainian prog-rockers VOVK is something of a monolith in the world of rock. 'Tiger/Tyhr' uses powerhouse riffage in the vein of early Shihad to convey the weight of this song but then it nimbly switches in to a Biffy Clyro-esque math-rock which keeps you on your toes. The third movement of the song sees the band splashing down on a serene patch of ocean which carries them home as you lose yourself in the layers of melody. Intoxicating and intriguing stuff.
