Mancunian singer-songwriter Olivia Browse brings the bouncy energy and indie-pop vibes on new single 'Love At First Might As Well' but all delivered through a deadpan vocal performance. There are nods to Lily Allen, Kate Nash and a more subdued version of Shampoo or Republica with perky guitars, lo-fi beats and electro zaps creating a disorientating sound that you can't take your ears off. My only question mark would be over the opening spoken word line of "you've heard of browsing the internet but have you heard of Olivia Browse?". It feels a little like something my mum would come up with and doesn't quite fit the vibe.
