The sparkling and fizzing Irish collective M(h)aol are back again with new single 'Asking For It' and, as usual, their bristling anger is razor sharp and pin-point accurate. That said, the song comes with a trigger warning for issues around sexual assault so tread carefully. A throbbing bass line and angry beat getting things going before the dead-eyed vocals dripping in disdain ask questions like "how much did you drink and what did you do?" - questions that have been asked far too many times. The full throttle clatter of the band joins in with an inevitable "No!!" in response to the question "Was I asking for it?" and every ounce of rage is entirely justified.
