The new single from the Subways sees the trio come roaring back with one thing on their minds; rock'n'roll. 'Black Wax' barges in with a razor sharp riff bolstered by a thumping rhythm section leaving you in no doubt as to the rock chops on display here. This is riff heavy stuff that will appeal to fans of Jet and Monster Truck but then there's that British indie sound woven throughout that elevates this above mere rock. Superb.
