Sumika - Float Away

When you call a song 'Float Away' there is a responsibility to create a certain ambiance and Plymouth based artist Sumika does that in spades. Super chilled melodies skip gently and playfully over the top of a fluttering, barely there beat giving Sumika's plenty of space to float effortlessly on its way. The breathy vocals are so sublimely relaxing and almost siren-like that you could apply them to pop, trip-hop or jazz but the genre is almost entirely irrelevant when the sound is this calming and soothing. Blissful stuff.
