NATALIE SHAY - EP REVIEW

Natalie Shay - Milk EP

Release Date: Out Now

80s inspired pop queen Natalie Shay is back with six track EP 'Milk' so I hope you're ready to bop. The party gets started with the bouncy 'New Wave' which bubbles along on the bassline, punctuated by perky beats and stitched together with Shay's smooth and classy vocal - it will lift even the lowest of moods, trust me. 'Medicine Boy' has a more contemporary feel to it with pulsating melodies that feel like Dua Lipa mixed with the Katy Perry while 'Outgrow' has a wistful and slightly ballad-esque vibe that feels like it just fell out of a time capsule.

On 'Good Girl Behaviour', Shay kicks things back up a notch with a driving and determined slice of pop that almost demands that you twirl, jump and swirl to every beat. 'Two Sparks' shows off the singer-songwriter's voice sublimely as she strips the instrumentation back to the minimum to let her vocal talents shine through. The EP finishes on 'Heaven' which has strums with a country tinged guitar before growing in to the kind of pulsating pop romp that is so brilliantly typical of Natalie Shay - one of the UK's most exciting pop talents.
