CHAPPAQUA WRESTLING – SINGLE REVIEW

Chappaqua Wrestling – Wayfinding

Release Date: Out Now

This is the second track from Chappaqua Wrestling that I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing and it is just as viscerally brilliant as the first. ‘Wayfinding’ hangs around some moodily bleak instrumentation pinging around the empty space vacated by hopes and dreams when the last bus out of town was cancelled. The stream of consciousness lyrics are delivered with a breathlessness and desperation borne out of frustration delivering lines like “with no job but a million results, eyes shut so they turn off, there’s no hope, no sign of luck”. Never has end-of-the-line despair sounded so thrilling.
