Cornish singer-songwriter Nell Davies has released her third single of 2022 in the shape of 'Everything and Nothing' and it's a song that exists in the space between Helen Love and the kind of innocent twee-pop of the late 50s. There are elements of Bis, Dubstar and Kenickie to the lo-fi scratchy guitars and sweet vocal harmonies but ultimately this is a indie-pop romp with a perky energy and an unrelenting positivity. Something we can all enjoy as a not-so-guilty pleasure in these otherwise doom-laden times.
