Something a bit different from Brixton town now as quartet Baytrees drop their new single 'Stitches' for your listening pleasure. "I was in stitches" goes the opening line as they sing of getting in to trouble as kids but trying to elevate themselves above the path that society had laid out for them. There is soul, pop, a little reggae and RnB all rolled in to the melodies while the vocals are delivered with a mixture of rap, spoken word and glorious harmonies. This is a beautifully uplifting song tinged with sadness and loss which is a heady brew and a tricky one to get right but Baytrees do it without breaking a sweat.
