Chappaqua Wrestling are a quartet based in London town and, well, they're a bit special. 'Full Round Table' starts with a bass line calling out through the decades from the darkest corners of the 80s where Thatcher's hand was felt hardest and the times were leanest. Then comes a vocal that feels like a 90s Madchester revival and a sense that this isn't a song that wants to feel sorry for itself or worry about the little things. No, this is a song with a triumphant, defiant and almost beligerant attitude that, even in the face of all the doom, gloom and intergenerational blame throwing, there is still joy to be found in the world and we should seek it out as a priority rather than an afterthought. Single of the year? Possibly. A song for our times? You bet.
