Pit Pony's star is really in the ascendancy at the moment following their teaming up with Clue Records and their slew of excellent single, including latest release 'Supermarket'. A pulsating and enticing bass line gets us underway before a driving beat and haunting guitar line join in creating an atmosphere of tension and suspense that is intoxicating. The steely vocals join in with gritted teeth and the tension builds further with hints of Maximo Park, Young Knives and the Futureheads. The way this song continues to build and build and build with no let up is overwhelmingly good and makes me want to hear this live with my eyes closed to let the sheer physicality of the song build up in my body before finding some kind of glorious release. That sounded sexual but it wasn't supposed to. Honest.
