Jedward and the Cheeky Girls have given sibling pop duos a bit of a bad name in recent years but Talk Like Tigers are operating in a differen realm so there's no fear of tacky'n'wacky nonsense going on here. The Geordie sisters (Charlotte and Stephanie to their mam) drop 'Sacred Feminine' starts with sombre and understated piano chords before a subtle beat and Kylie-esque vocals join in and something starts to stir. When the chorus bursts in to life you know you're listening to something special that has the mood of a Feeder track with the classy production of a Sugababes tune and the kind of alt-pop attitude that is hard to ignore. Glorious stuff.
