PATTERN PUSHER - SINGLE REVIEW

Pattern Pusher - Holding On (Circadian Music)

Release Date: 26th March 2022

Hot Exeter properties Pattern Pusher are continuing their steady rise with another perfectly crafted funk-pop single for your listening pleasure. 'Holding On' starts with a smooth and slick intro before the bass line drops in and brings along a bag of funk for good measure. There are elements of Jamiroquai, the Bee Gees, Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars/Mark Ronson infused within this track but there's also a very English approach to songwriting and production which puts me in mind of David Bowie or the Kinks but with a far funkier edge. Whatever the references, this is a cracking track and should go firmly on to your summer party playlist within the first hour of songs.
