Leah Marie Mason is sold as country-pop and there are few tinges of country around the edges of the guitar and vocals but the pop sound is far stronger. 'Miss Us Then' is a sparkling and shining slice of pop with strong vocals and a heavy heart full of regret and love long gone. "I miss missing you, I wish lying next to someone else and wishing it was you" sings Mason and we all know the emotion she is singing about which makes this all the more relatable.
