The slow swampy blues of Houndmouth's new single 'Make It To Midnight' is intoxicating from the get-go so pour yourself a long drink and settle in to enjoy it. As the drums lazily stomp and guitars swagger unevenly, the three part part vocal harmonies sound like a choir of drunken angels singing in to the night for anyone still awake to listen. Somewhere between Kings of Leon, T Rex and Jeff Buckley jamming in an old shack down in New Orleans this sound emerges gloriously like a phoenix from ashes.
