I'm not sure what I expected from this track but it certainly wasn't the stomping, soaring and generally glorious romp that is 'Dog Me Up'. Hannah Robinson employs a simple but steady beat, guitars that swirl and swoop like starlings and a voice that switches from low and moody to sweet and upliftingly joyous. There are hints of Feeder, Sheryl Crow and Tanya Donnelly as well as a pinch of country spirit but it is that juxtaposition of dirty guitars and pure vocals that makes this such an enthralling listen.
