CREEPY NEIGHBOUR - SINGLE REVIEW

Creepy Neighbour - No One Really Loves You
(State 51/Integrity)

Release Date: Out Now

I'm always pleased when touring or session musicians step out from behind the 'headline act' to find their own voice as is the case with Creepy Neighbour (aka Max Taylor, former bassist for Clor, Groove Armada, Lily Allen, Roots Manuva and so many more). 'No One Really Loves You' is, surprisingly, an uplifting indie-pop number with pleasing chugging West Coast guitars that make this sound like a mash up of Redd Kross and the Beach Boys. "It's so hard to know what to do when no one really loves you" sings Taylor atop a jaunty keyboard melody as the song drops references to Hong Kong Fuey, Bruce Springsteen and being gender fluid. This is a genuinely infectious track and will have you bopping down the street to your summer parties and no mistake.
