Real life Derry girls Cherym are back with a new EP but first comes new single 'We're Just Friends'. The agit-punk-pop vibes are strong as the guitar, bass and drums combination hits hard but without ever losing the melodiousness that makes this trio so damn addictive. The glorious vocal harmonies are the cherry on the icing on the cake as their Northern Irish accents blend with West Coast punk-pop tones to create a song that should be a) huge in the UK, b) huge in the states and c) soundtracking a teen coming of age rom-com where the heroine chooses her best friend over the hunk and the two ride off in to the sunset in a two-seater jeep.
