The wonderfully eccentric and
authentic Scott Lavene brings us ‘Lord of Citrus’ to make us feel a little more
at ease with the world. Over a chugging guitar and layered Lemon Jelly-esque
melodies, Lavene does his spoken word thing which is somewhere between Mark E
Smith, Phil Daniels and Murray Lachlan Young. The freedom and absurdity of the
lyrics and the marching lemon-headed man in the accompanying animation are joyous
things to behold so my advice to you is to sit back and let this one wash over
you like a warm, velvety cloud.
