LAZARUS KANE - SINGLE REVIEW

Lazarus Kane - Milk At My Door (So Young
Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Oh wow, this is a lot to take in. So, Lazarus Kane (great name, by the way) are a mix of a whole load of influences judging by 'Milk At My Door' but they put their brand firmly on this too so don't you dare think they are lazy copy-cats. The Duran-Duran 80s guitars of the intro are soon stomped over by Franz Ferdinand meets Young Knives angular riffs and a little touch of Dutch Vocals in there too. There is a hint of Mark E. Smith in the vocals but something more like Can in terms of the beats and bass. The dance moves in the video are like parents at art school wedding and this is possibly the first song I've heard about crime drama set in the Cotswolds. Like I said, it's a lot, but I am entirely up for that.
