Exeter gents Haytor are back with
new single ‘Comatose’ and it wastes no time in getting under your skin. Bubbling
Alt-Pop melodies bounce around like bees in a bell-jar before the lid comes off
and this bursts in to life with pounding drums, searing guitars and driving
bass lines carrying those melodies along.
If you take the ambitious sound of Bastille and the Killers delivering
lines like “I’m comatose, my eyes are streaming dreams I hardly know” with buckets
and buckets of energy then you’re coming close. Honestly, Haytor may be the next
big thing to come out of the burgeoning South West scene and if there aren’t
crowds of music hungry revellers pogoing en masse to this tune during summer
2021 then we are really all lost.
