Roseanne Reid – Fly High

Scottish singer-songwriter Roseanne
Reid is a new artist to me but, based on this release, I’m looking forward to
discovering more of her music. ‘Fly High’ is a gentle song with deftly played
acoustic notes and gorgeous warm strings that work perfectly with Reid’s
superbly rich vocal tones. There is a definite hint of an accent in there and something
undeniably Scottish about the chorus melody which makes this song all the more
flavourful. This feels like the kind of song you would play to your child the
night before they leave home to make a life for themselves elsewhere, sending
them out in to the world with instruction aim straight and fly high.
