British-Iranian producer Hiatus brings
new single ‘Semblance’ to us for our pleasure in 2021 and it might just be the
tune that you need. Slithering melodies sound like a breeze through river reeds
which, when listened to alongside the urban video, are particularly arresting.
A slow and delicate rhythm joins in and we’re immediately transported somewhere
otherworldly and lord knows that sounds tempting right now. I’m reminded of the
moment I first discovered Lemon Jelly, Ludovico Einaudi or Penguin Café, such
is the transformative or transportive quality of the beautiful music created by
Hiatus. Bravo.
