I love a spoken word sample in a
song from time to time and the plummy English woman extoling the virtues of
teenagers at the start of release is utterly charming. Tulliah is another
talented Australian artist from Victoria and her new single, ‘Just My Type (A
Little Bit Lonely)’ will appeal to fans of dream pop with a bit more oomph than
normal. Think Best Coast meets Lana Del Rey meets Regina Spektor and you’re
fairly near the bullseye as Tulliah’s soft and soulful vocals meet with 50s
backing vocals and mournful melodies that put you in a late summer mood. More
