Itta and Marqido describe
themselves as a Pan-Asian couple who make music under the moniker Tengger which
is the Mongolian word for an unlimited expanse of sky. The duo’s new single, ‘Water’,
comes from their forthcoming album ‘Nomad’ and is just sublime. The mixture of meandering
notes and soothing vocal harmonies is entirely enthralling and if you close
your eyes you can feel yourself and your problems just drifting off downstream.
As the song progresses and evolves, the ripples of notes become more frantic
but there’s still a real sense of calm to this that is just impossible not to
fall in love with.
