Kris Barras Band – What A Way To Go
Kris Barras
(Mascot Label
Group/Provogue)
Release Date: Out Now
Despite Coronavirus putting paid
to some European tour dates this March, Westcountry rocker Kris Barras and his
band are still putting out another cracker of a single in the shape of ‘What A
Way To Go’. Heavy on the cowbell from the word go, the groove is deep and the
vibe is positive with the kind of sound that Bon Jovi would be grateful of
recapturing. The guitars are chunky, the keys are sexy and the rhythm section
is as tight as a Scotsman the day before pay day so it’s a recipe for rock’n’roll.
Frankly, I don’t think Coronavirus would have stood a chance against that
guitar solo but you can’t be too careful when your career relies on you and
your fans staying alive so it’s an understandable move.
