I have to admit, I sort of expected
British duo Demons of Ruby Mae to be a hard rocking pair of beardy bikers –
which is no bad thing by the way. Nevertheless, Jonny and Adam are actually a
couple of electro-pop purveyors who, on the basis of new single ‘This Is Your
Time’, will suit people who’ve been looking for something in that Venn diagram
between Take That’s most recent material, Erasure and Keane. Uplifting
choruses, empowering verses and a slick sense of confidence are all woven to
pulsating synths and a beat that carries you along with the emotional power of
an Above & Beyond track. Good for the soul.
