Not every artist can get away
with featuring a cat in their press shot and still looking devastatingly
beautiful but then not every artist is Ilira. If you haven’t caught up with the
Swiss raised Kosovan-Albanian pop princess, then you might want to focus in on
this one because things are about to blow up. ‘Royalty’ doesn’t mess around
with assured vocals and a catchy chorus demanding that lovers “treat me like I’m
royalty”. More accessible than Angie, more fun than Lana Del Rey and more
interesting than 90% of the pop currently doing the rounds in 2020. The
question is, can she move from princess to queen?
