Scottish singer-songwriter Malka
is back with a new album due in 2020 but to whet our whistles we have new
single ‘Tiny Fires’ to being going on with. As you might expect from Malka,
this is unpredictable and quirky but what I wasn’t expecting was the electro
vibes and flirtatious darkness. If you like Moloko, Goldfrapp and the idea of
Muse’s most recent work being covered by Laura Marling and James Murphy then
this sticky little number will be right up your street – that street being a
back alley leading to a neon sign and an unmarked door to a super cool basement
club where Malka spins her siren’s web of intrigue on a nightly basis.
