Cornish indie-rockers are topping
off an excellent 2019 with the release of new single ‘Lie Next To Me’, an
instantly infectious little number that comes with a discombobulating lyric
video built around the photography of the excellent Craig Taylor-Broad. There’s
a raw, scratchy quality to this that puts me in mind of early Libertines and
Razorlight material with that gang mentality and vibe taking priority over
virtuoso performances and slick production. The way this track builds to a crescendo
and then falls off a cliff is tailor-made for live performance and I’m sure
this one is greeted by screams of delight when it all comes crashing to an end.
