Oh lordy, this is a bit lovely. Leanne
Tennant’s new single ‘Bring It All Back’ has the kind of dark allure that you
might expect from Anna Calvi or Goldfrapp but the synth bass line and soulful
melodies give this a truly unique feel. Tennant’s voice has that soft steeliness
that only a woman’s voice can bring and puts me in mind of Alison Moyet singing
at a slightly higher register. This song oozes sophistication, style and cool
but it is underpinned by very real emotion and buckets of soul. There is an
excellent video accompanying this one too so do yourself a favour and get
involved.
