THE REZNER – SINGLE REVIEW

The Rezner – For Myself
The Rezner - For Myself

Release Date: 20th September 2019

This might only be the second single from Truro outfit the Rezner but they’re already making a lot of ripples on the indie scene. The quartet have been knocking around at some of the cooler UK festivals this summer and have a tidy little five date tour coming up this autumn (although anyone north of Watford is bang out of luck for now). ‘For Myself’ is a two-and-a-half-minute indie-garage-punk romp that sits comfortably alongside the likes of the Libertines, early Supergrass and the much-missed Crowns. Gang vocals, trashy guitars and drums that just won’t quit are the order of the day and it’s impossible not to be swept up in the raw, potent energy. This is the kind of band that could lead a movement, the kind of band that you want to go on tour with, hell, the kind of band you’d want to be in if you had half a chance and that’s the highest compliment I can give a new band.
