IDLEWILD – SINGLE REVIEW

Idlewild – There’s a Place for Everything
Idlewild - There's a Place for Everything

Release Date: Out Now

There’s always been something so wonderfully artistic and honest about Idlewild and even though some of the melodies on this new track feel a bit more like Keane, the Scottish band’s authenticity always shines through. ‘There’s a Place for Everything’ features the characteristically charismatic vocals of Roddy Woomble and some pleasingly jangly guitars but there’s a more Radio 2 vibe than in their hey-day. “A spirit full of houses, a fully automatic washing machine, inside I’m dreaming of nowhere, no one is an expert on everything” goes the lyric and, when matched with the video, it both makes sense and is baffling at the same time. Just like I like my music.
