FRANK TURNER – SINGLE REVIEW

Frank Turner – Jinny Bingham’s Ghost (Xtra
Frank Turner - Jinny Bingham's Ghost
Mile Recordings)

Release Date: Out Now

You can always rely on Frank Turner to find an interesting story to weave through his wayward vocals and folk-punk guitar playing. This latest ditty is an ode to ‘Jinny Bingham’s Ghost’, a lady known as the Shrew of Kentish Town who used to take in waifs and strays to her establishment – still running today as the Camden Underworld. This tune is classic Turner with frantic, twitchy guitars and skittish rhythms which make you want to dance but lyrics that make you want to listen carefully – it’s a devilish combo but one that keeps you coming back for more.
